Leanna Dee Maxim

She was born Leanna Dee Sylvia in Wareham, daughter of Leonard R. and Greta G. (Clouette) Sylvia. She grew up in Plymouth and attended school there.

She worked at the Sonoco Bag Factory in Wareham and later at the Christmas Tree Shop in Sagamore.

She leaves behind her husband of nearly 35 years, Thomas D. Maxim. She enjoyed being with her family and animals, knitting, watching T.V. and making us all laugh.

Preceding her death was her father.

Other surviving family members are her mother Greta Sylvia, daughters Tara Maxim of Wareham, and Maryanne Lee of Florida, and her son Leonard Maximn of New Bedford. Leanna is also survived by her sisters Jodie Burkett of Plymouth, Francine Lyons of Cohasset, and Roxanna Sylvia of Plymouth and her grandchildren Stephen Dunn, Allana Dunn, Anthony Dunn, Camero Losapio, and Giovanna Losapio as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, January 2, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA 02532.

Memorials may be made in Leanna’s name to the American Heart Association.
