Lizabeth A. Fernandes

Lizabeth A. Fernandes, 69, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, at her home in Bourne, MA surrounded by family. Ms. Fernandes was born Sept. 12, 1946 in Westerly, RI and was the daughter of the late James P. Murphy and Antoinette (Nigrelli) Murphy.

She was a flight attendant for American Airlines for 38 years. She enjoyed shopping, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her dog Zack.

She is survived by her husband David Fernandes; her daughter Kristen Genduso; grandchildren Brian, Dakota, Justin, Katelynn, Cassandra, Kalista and Joienne; her twin sister Sandra Sardelli, and her husband Wilfred, of Potomac Falls, Va.; and nephew Chris Sardelli, and his wife Katie, of Fort Mill, S.C.

Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 pm in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA 02532. Her graveside service will be held Saturday August 6, 2016 at 10 am in St Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston, RI.
