Margaret Colomb

Born in Norwood, Mrs. Colomb was the daughter of the late Ruth E. (Lowney) and Joseph T. Flood, Sr. Mrs. Colomb is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William A. Colomb of Pocasset, and by her two children, Marianne Justice of Bourne, and Thomas W. Colomb and his wife Ada, of Braintree. Mrs. Colomb is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and William Hursta of Littleton, Colorado, and by her sister-in-law, Eileen Flood of Bourne. Margaret was the sister of the late Joseph T. Flood, Jr., of Norwood. Mrs. Colomb also leaves a nephew and two nieces, and had two other nephews who predeceased her.

Margaret worked at the former Mason Neilan Company in Norwood, where she met her husband Bill. They have resided in Pocasset since the early 1970’s. In her retirement years, Margaret enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting more than 35 countries and almost all of the 50 United States.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, in Bourne, on Sunday, June 6, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Pocasset, on Tuesday, June 8, at 10:00 a.m. Family will gather for burial later that day at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
