Norma Jean Hanscom

Norma-Jean Hanscom of Pocasset passed away on Wednesday, February 33, 2017. She was the wife of the late John W. Hanscom. Born in Easton, MA,the daughter of the late Norman Molin and Bessie (Hennigar) Tufts.

After graduating from Oliver Ames High School in 1945, Mrs. Hanscom attended business school in Brockton. Mrs. Hanscom had worked as a Postal Clerk at the Easton, MA 02334 post office prior to becoming Post Master, retiring after more than 20 years. Mrs. Hanscom was a Trustee of North Easton Savings Bank for more than 25 years. She was a Past Associate Worthy Matron and Past Deputy Grand Matron of Mass. Grand Chapter OES. She was a Past Worthy Matron of Easton Chapter 164 OES. Mrs. Hanscom was also a Past Worthy Advisor of Rainbow Girls of Brockton and Past Mother Advisor Rainbow Girls in Easton. She was a Past Master of the Harmony Grange and Past President of the Outlook Club, a Federated Women's Club.

Mrs. Hanscom is survived by her daughter Nancy Aubin and her husband Henry of Mansfield, son, Jon Hanscom and his wife Joy of Florida and Howard Hanscom and his wife Lynn of Pocasset. She was also the mother of the late Scott Hanscom. She also is survived by grandchildren Erick Aubin, Holly Geribo, Chad Aubin, Justin Hanscom, Nina Loglisci, Elizabeth Maycock Alex Hanscom, Justin Williams and Angela Hanscom. She is survived be 7 great grandchildren as well.
