Rita May Stenquist

Mrs. Rita M. (Tucker) Stenquist, 61, of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Stenquist who predeceased her in 2006.

Born and raised in Abington, Rita was the daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte (Cornell) Tucker. She graduated from Abington High School Class of 1970. Rita married Carl Stenquist on June 5, 1971.

Rita loved vacationing in Florida and spending time with her family and friends. She had a great love for animals. Known for her sense of humor, Rita was affectionately referred to as a “hot ticket” amongst her friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Carla Dennehy and husband Kevin of Taunton and Winifred Palmer and husband Marc-Anthony of Plymouth, and 6 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Tucker and sister Julia Harris, both of Englewood, FL. She was also the sister of the late Joy Ann Crone.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Visiting Hours for Rita on Monday from 4-8PM in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich.
