

Robert Barry, 84, of Pocasset died Dec. 23, 2012 at the Royal Nursing Home in Falmouth. He was the husband of Pamela Barry to whom he was married for 37 years. He was born in Dedham, MA on Jan. 17, 1928 the youngest of 3 boys son of the late Paul S. Barry and Mary Margaret (Shriver) Barry. He is also predeceased by his brothers Col. Richard S. Barry (USMC) and Paul S. Barry Jr. He was a graduate of Boston Mechanical Arts High School and of Boston Teachers College, now U. Mass Boston in 1951 with a degree in Industrial Arts. Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Germany during the Korean War. Bob and his brother Dick became interested in hunting and shotguns from their father hence both became avid trapshooters. On moving to Buzzards Bay in 1985 he became a member of the Monument Beach Sportmans Club and over a period of time with lots of help and donations he refurbished the clubs trap field and according to him it was and is the best on Cape Cod. He could of not been prouder when the field was named after him. In addition to his wife Pam he leaves 3 children Michelle T. Davis (John), Robert S. Lind (Tracy and Richard S. Lind (Beth) and 4 grandchildren Victoria, Sophia, Marrissa and Robert Lind. He also leaves 2 stepchildren Deborah M. Leighton of Brooklyn, CT and Christopher G. Leighton of Pearl City, Hawaii and 2 step grandchildren Jonathan and Alexis Leighton of Hawaii. His family would like the staff at the Royal Nursing Center and Fidelis Hospice how
