Sally May DeCosta passed away on July 12, 2018 at the age of 77 surrounded by loving family members. Her home for the past 4 years was at the Bourne Manor where she was loved and well cared for. She was born on December 8, 1940 in the Hatchville Village of Falmouth. Sally May was the daughter of the late John & Elsie DeCosta Sr., sister of John DeCosta Jr. and his wife Carole of West Bridgewater, sister of the late Thomas DeCosta and his surviving wife Nancy DeCosta of Falmouth, and twin sister of the late Shirley DeCosta. Loving Aunt to Daniel, Andrew, Joseph, Douglas, Peter, Pamela, Catherine, Cynthia, Lynn, and their spouses. Additional a Loving Aunt to several grand nephews and nieces. Sally May was a graduate of Falmouth High School class of 1959. Sally May continued her education and received a degree from the Cape Cod Hospital as a LPN and then as a Registered Nurse from the Truesdale School of Nursing. Sally May then joined the Air Force and achieved the rank of Captain as a Flight Nurse transporting wounded soldiers during the Vietnam War Era. Sally May was a devote member of the Presbyterian Church of Cape Cod where she was also loved and treated like a family member by the congregation.
