He was a man who let few experiences pass him by. After finishing medical school and practicing in Florida, Dr. Fox decided to make Falmouth his home in 1980, bringing with him his wife, Marilyn, and two daughters, Sophia and Liza. He began his work at Falmouth Hospital and had an ear, nose, and throat practice in town. He was both president and a member of the Executive Council of the Barnstable Chapter of the Massachusetts Medical Society.
After adding another daughter, Erika, to the family, he decided to start many new endeavors. He went on to receive a law degree in medical policy law at Boston University School of Law,
gained his real estate license, and was the Medical Director of Medicaid for Massachusetts. Scott and Marilyn started Cape Cod Bagel, which they ran for 33 years.
More recently, Scott decided to devote more time to family and to explore his own passions.
Scott enjoyed scuba diving around the world, on occasion he even collected fish on behalf of New England Aquarium. He was a salt water aquarium enthusiast and kept beautiful reef tanks.
As a freemason, he found brotherhood and connection.
He loved archeology. Always passionate about history, Scott traveled annually to Israel uncovering roman coins, palaces, mosaic floors and pottery. One of his finds can even be seen at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Museum.
An avid reader, Scott found himself a named character in Bernard Cornwell's latest novel.
Scott was a wonderful grandfather to his eight grandkids. They brought him great joy and they look up to him as a man who had all the answers and a story to accompany each one.
