

Scott Winslow Kirwan, 77 of Weymouth passed away peacefully at Keystone Place at Buzzards Bay on October 31, 2021, following a brief illness. Scott was preceded in death by his parents Dana and Kay Kirwan and his brothers David, Ricky, and Jeff.
Scott served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal for his heroic achievements in a combat zone.
He was married to his loving wife Priscilla for 30 years before her passing in 2003.
Scott was the proud owner of multiple dry-cleaning facilities for many years before retiring. He enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool, and caring for his dogs. He later enjoyed puttering and tinkering in his garage. He loved spending time driving in his convertible Ford Mustang. He was a member of the VFW Post 1399 in Weymouth.
Scott spent the last 18 years with his companion Virginia Hart of Weymouth (formerly of Pembroke). They enjoyed their summer/fall seasons in Weymouth and ventured to Florida where they spent most of their winters. Scott will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, and his happy-go lucky sense of humor. He will be missed deeply by his long-time friends Bob & Peggy Green of Weymouth.
Scott is survived by his children; Lisa Iafrate & husband John (Brockton); Debra Reddington & husband Kevin (Marshfield); Ernest Miller & wife Lisa (FL); Diane Bursey (FL); Scott D Kirwan (MA); Stacey Kirwan (FL); John White & wife Renita (FL). He is also survived by his sister in-law Martha Kirwan, nephew Robert, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be private. A military burial will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery in FL at a future date.
