Thomas Joseph Reid

Thomas Joseph Reid, 82 years old, passed Wednesday December 21, 2016 after a long illness. Tom is survived by his wife Mary (McMorrow) Reid, born in Brookline MA. on June 25, 1934. He was the son of Daniel Reid and Elizabeth (Daly) Reid of Glasgow, Scotland. He graduated from Dorchester High School, and proudly served in the United States Navy between 1954 and 1956. He was a vested member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and had successful career as an electrician, working for Liberty Mutual of Boston and Damon IEC. Tom was very active in Halifax where they lived and raised their children, he coached baseball and was active on many town boards. Tom retired to Bourne MA. in 1997 with his beloved wife Mary where they both enjoyed sailing and their 11 grandchildren.

Besides his wife Mary, Tom is survived by his children, Daughter Sheila M. Broderick and husband Ted, their children Daniel, Cameron, Reid and Jack, Daughter Patricia Brown (Reid) and her husband Dan Brown, Son Thomas J. Reid and wife Lisa, children Thomas, Nicole, and Amanda, Daughter Eileen Reid-McCusker and her husband Tom and their children Timothy and Andrew, Daughter Jacqueline Reid Ellsasser and her husband Chris and their children Patrick and Mason.

A wake will be Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard, Bourne MA. visiting hours are 4pm to 8pm

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday December 28, 2016 11am at Corpus Christi Church 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd, Sandwich MA. with internment to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA.
