Virginia W. Corey

Virginia W. Corey (Fitzpatrick), age 78, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Roxbury and Braintree, MA, passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband Kevin P. Corey, her sister Mary Connolly, and her brothers Terrence Fitzpatrick, John Fitzpatrick, and James Fitzpatrick. Daughter of the late John and Winifred Fitzpatrick (Walsh). Survived by her children Joseph Corey of Franklin, Christopher Corey of San Fransisco, CA, and Susan Gerrish of Knoxville. Mother-in-law of Jennifer Corey of Franklin and Bradley Gerrish of Knoxville. Blessed grandmother of Jackson and Gabriel Corey of Franklin, and Nicole and Tate Gerrish of Knoxville. Sister of Kathleen Fitzpatrick of Quincy, MA and Patricia Coulombe of North Easton, MA. Sister-in-law of Joan and Jennifer Fitzpatrick of FL and Deborah Corey of TX. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Mission Church High School and Massasoit Community College. Family and friends are invited to a service at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA on Monday, January 15th at 10:00 a.m., to be followed by interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
