William Stalker Wright Jr.

Born in Boston, the son of the late William and Kathryn (Overy) Wright Sr. He is survived by his sisters Virginia Nielsen of N. Falmouth, Eleanor Brander of Rehoboth, Carol Ann Wright of Pocasset and his brother John Wright of Colchester, CT.,as well as many nieces & nephews. He was also the brother of the late Marcia Monette of Pocasset.

Billy was an active, lifelong member of the Pocasset Baptist Church. He was also an on-call Fireman for the Pocasset station for 40 years. But, he is best known though for his 35 years of dedicated service to the Bourne School department. Billy is remembered fondly as a daily bus driver and for most out of town school sporting events. Even after his retirement, he was a proud and vocal supporter of Bourne high school sports home and away games as well as the Bourne Historical Society.

Mr.Wright was a veteran and stationed in Germany during the late 1950s

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at 10AM at the First Baptist Church in Pocasset. Burial at Pocasset Cemetery will follow. Calling hours will be held Thursday 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA.
