Yolanda Rodriguez Caruthers

CARUTHERS, Yolanda (Rodriguez) 72, of Warwick, RI passed away on November 23, 2023 at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence, RI. She was born to the late Luis A. Rodriguez, and Wilhelmina P. Rodriguez (Pacio) in La Union, Philippines on September 4, 1951.

Yolanda grew up in La Union, Philippines and graduated from La Union (Grupo) High School in 1969. She attended Saint Louis Christian College from May 7, 1969 ~ February 21, 1973, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Secretarial Studies. She started working as an Executive Secretary at the YMCA International in 1978. She also worked as a former Administrative Assistant at United Van Lines from April 4, 1994 ~ June 11, 2013, and as Administrative Assistant at Coastline Elderly Services INC, in New Bedford, MA. She moved to Otis Air National Guard Base in 1985. In 1991, she graduated from Fisher College in MA.

Yolanda loved fishing, especially at Falmouth Harbor, and enjoyed dancing and karaoke in her free time, but she loved spending time with her family and is survived by her children; Sherill Fortune of RI, Phillip Caruthers of MA, Samuel Caruthers of MA, Joshua Caruthers of CT, Nichole Grandy of PA, and Nathan Caruthers of RI. Her 13 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter, and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 8th from 4-8pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, Ma, a Funeral service will be held at 7:30 pm, In the funeral home.
