

Ann was born on November 19,1923 in Shenandoah, PA to Veronica and Tally Derringe. She had one brother, Edmund. Her childhood memories were filled with family, friends and fun, along with challenges. Ann graduated from Mt. Sinai Hospital Nursing School, in Philadelphia, PA in 1946. In 1950 she enlisted in the US Air Force, achieving the rank of Captain. Ann loved her military service, especially the variety of places she was stationed and positions she held. She lived in Georgia, Maine, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Japan & Delaware. In 1961, Ann married Thomas Munley and they settled in Bowie, MD to raise their family. Throughout her life, Ann enjoyed meeting people, making friends, traveling, doing her puzzles and appreciating the beauty of the natural world. Ann maintained her bright, positive attitude until the very end.
Ann is survived by her children; Daniel (Christine) of Owings, MD, Ann Margaret (James Beavers) of East Aurora, NY, and Kathleen (Peter Myers) of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren; Brittany (Greg), Victoria, Thomas, Rachel, Joseph, Cecilia, Mary, William, Benjamin & Dylan, and great grandchildren; Aubree, Mia, Sophie, Ty & Luke. Being “Grammy” to them was her greatest joy.
Ann was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Munley.
Visitation will be Thursday March 20 from 6-8pm at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD, 20715.
Funeral Mass will be Friday March 21 at 11am at Sacred Heart Chapel 16501 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD, 20715.
