My beautiful, caring and loving Aunt Ariel. As true and as "honest"as one can be. We can all learn a great deal from a very smart and inquisitive woman who never stopped learning. So resourceful with a great wealth of knowledge. Never played by the rule of, I can't. Instead, I can! A true optomist!The tall, slim model framed beauty from Jamaica never fell short of being a good advisor, motivator all In the name of love. We talked for hours about life and laughed many conversations away. In her often proud voice, she boasted rightfully about my cousins, her wonderful daughters. She was proud of their accomplishments and so was I.Yes. "YOU DID THAT!", Auntie.  So brave holding your family together, continuing to be a strong and wonderful mother after the passing of your beloved husband. Guiding your children to be their best selves. I'm sure he's proud. That is the kind of person you are. Caring and about FAMILY.I love you and you will forever hold a place in my heart. I know you're still smiling! No loss here, we've gained an angel in the universe to watch over us. Thank you.

As I reflect on aspects of the fully accomplished life of my dear cousin, Ariel, I recognize that there are numerous credits that may be attributed to her, and I highlight, quite briefly, successes in just a few areas, although there are many, many more.

First, in time, I am reminded of the loving care she afforded my uncle "Papa," as she called him.  Her dedicated care was of such that she tirelessly and unselfishly sacrificed much of her own well-being, for him.

In addition, I commend her for the strength and fortitude that she displayed in overcoming so many challenges and struggles that she faced in life, to the point where I truly see her entire life as an overwhelming success.

Next, was the undying love that she had for her husband, who predeceased her. What I saw in her love, was a true display of commitment and togetherness at the highest levels imaginable. 

Further, I thank her for her amazing insight. The related assessment she made, and the forthright advice that she gave me a number of years ago with regard to a friendship that I was developing, turned out to be right on target.

Along the lines of her caring spirit, I noted the extent to which she cared, fully and so admirably, for one of my cousins who had taken  sick in the Pocono Mountains, and she did so quite dutifully right until the time of his passing. She and this cousin had been so close all their lives, and she remained true to the end, like brother and sister.

Finally, I fully recognize Cousin Ariel's lifelong commitment to the proper growth, development and success of her children, the very fruits of her efforts we so often see demonstrated today in the lives of her offspring. Job well done!

Rest in Peace, my dear cousin, Rest in Peace.

Aunt Ariel forever my cousin Dorothy... I am still at a loss for words.  I still perceive you through my childhood lens full of life, playing with me, my sister and my 2 little cousins. It's hard to imagine otherwise however God give th and he taketh away so I am going to give thanks that your suffering is no more. If our love could have saved you, then you would still be here . You are and will be greatly missed who else will call me no matter how busy I am to update me on my family and check on me? Love you and miss you Auntie| ~Miss June❤

I just wanted to add a piece of good memory of you my dear friend Ariel.

Ariel, you are the person that always listen and give good advice to me. You always encouraged me to reach for the sky. She's someone that I will miss dearly. To Tasha and Kanene, I know that you have made your mother so very proud, and I know that she will always watch over you.

I will always treasure the wonderful times we spent talking on the phone, and also being with you when you and Kanene came to Jamaica.  Your wonderful words of wisdom and encouragement are second to none.  I will always cherish the wonderful memories I have of you.  You have a very special place in my heart.
