Christina "Bunny" Boock

Christina “Bunny” Marie Boock of Glenn Dale, Maryland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 surrounded by her family . She was born on April 1, 1942, in Nanticoke Pennsylvania to Ezra and Christine (Yaroshefski) Jones. As a teenager, she moved to Maryland and graduated from Bladensburg High School. She married Gerald E. Boock on June 4, 1966 and was married for 56 years. She began her career at the US Department of State in Washington, DC which she left to raise her two sons. She later worked as a salesperson for M&M Mars and Hershey’s Candy Companies. Christina was the pillar of the family, providing support to all. She was incredibly considerate and selfless, always putting the needs of others first. She loved spending time with family and friends as well as visiting her grandchildren in Pennsylvania and Florida. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed caring for the birds in her yard. Having the nickname “Bunny” from an early age led to an extensive collection of bunny rabbits and decor all throughout her home. She was a devout Catholic, belonging to Ascension Catholic Church for over 30 years. Christina is the beloved wife of Gerald; devoted mother of Gerald Christopher and his wife Yin Min Nwe, and Edward Matthew and his wife Terra Lynn; sister of E. Jeffrey Jones, Edwina Flynn and the late Sharon Abbott; grandmother of Alexander, Jason, Noah, Matthew and Abigail. She will be forever missed by all those who loved her.

Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church, 12700 Lanham-Severn Road, Bowie, Maryland 20715 on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 am. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Francis Cemetery, East Washington Street, Nanticoke, Pennsylvania.
