David K. Haines

David K. “Buddy” Haines, 86, (formerly of Bowie, MD) went to his Heavenly Home on June 30, 2023. He joins his wife Mildred T. (Tanner) Haines. David was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother. His family meant so much to him, as well as his neighbors and friends.

He loved being outside working in his vegetable and flower gardens, or tinkering in his garage. He was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by three daughters, Sheila F. Radel (Bob), of Sunbury, PA, Debbie S. Marotto and Kimberly M. Bussey (Bob), both of Northumberland, PA, and step-daughter Teresa Grasso (Larry), of Lancaster, PA, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Kahn of Las Vegas, NV, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles W. Haines Sr. and Helen P. (Krantz) Haines, one sister, Betty Crook of Clinton, MD, three brothers, Charles W. Haines Jr. of Hampton, VA, Robert Haines of Hueytown, AL, and Paul Haines of Greenville, SC, and one grandson, David R. Radel of Sunbury, PA.

A viewing will be held on July 6, 2023 at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 12:30pm.

Internment will be held at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD at 2:30 pm in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
