With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ernestine Helene White on February 12, 2025. Born August 16, 1944, in Harlem Hospital to her mother Helen and father Ernest, Ernestine spent the first half of her life growing up in New York City and eventually would become an accomplished professional within the field of Human Resources until she retired. She, along with her late husband Peter White, would move to Las Vegas and spend 8 years there before moving back east to Milford Delaware. Before retiring, Ernestine worked hard and long hours to help support her family. She was a loving wife, an extraordinary mother, and a loving friend to many.
She enjoyed the simple things in life, such as family gatherings, spending time with her good friends, listening to music or watching a movie. She specifically loved comedy, suspense, and sci-fi films. After moving to Milford Delaware, she became very involved in the community, made many friends, and even joined the senior group known as Red Hatter’s. Ernestine leaves behind her son, and only child, Isaiah White. She will also be remembered by her sister Geralyn, and her two brothers Bernard and Junior, along with her niece Kimberly, her two nephews Kayden and Ramone, grandniece Taylor and grandnephew Cassius. She will be greatly missed by all those she befriended during her life.
A memorial service will be held on February 22nd at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home at 11 AM, in memory of Ernestine.
