Joyce Culley

Joyce Ann Culley, 84, of Bowie, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to touch the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by Wayne Lee Culley after 42 years of marriage with whom she built a beautiful life until his passing on May 30, 2003.

Together with Wayne, Joyce was deeply involved in the softball program of Bowie Boys and Girls Club, where they devoted countless hours supporting local youth. The couple shared a passion for NASCAR. Joyce found joy in tending to her garden and was an avid reader—hobbies she lovingly shared with Wayne and family throughout their years together.

Joyce dedicated over four decades to her distinguished career at Rowman & Littlefield publishing, retiring as Vice President of Production. Her commitment to excellence and leadership in the publishing industry touched countless lives and publications throughout her remarkable professional journey.

Joyce's greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Lisa and Wayne Jr.;(Angela) her grandchildren, Jessie Treschl (Jason), Kelly Hiller (Noah), Jenna Ohl, Christopher Culley, and Michael Culley; and her treasured great-granddaughter, Ava Treschl and her sister Patricia Puterio.

There will be a celebration of life in the future.
