

Kevin was born on May 30, 1982, in Washington ,DC, to Mary and Addison Ford. He was raised in Bowie, Maryland, alongside his sisters, Becky Ford and Karen Ford, where his love for gymnastics took root early in life. A graduate of Bowie High School’s Class of 2000, Kevin attended and played soccer at LaSall University, Boston, MA.
A gifted gymnast, Kevin devoted more than 25 years to coaching generations of students and adults at the Prince George’s Sports & Learning Complex, Landover, Maryland. As a gymnastics coach, Kevin found true joy in helping to develop the talent of his students. He didn’t just coach skills; he built confidence, resilience, and character.
Outside of gymnastics, Kevin was well known and warmly regarded during his 15+ years as a Barista at Starbucks. Most recently, he worked at Posner’s in Capitol Heights where he was well liked and valued by his coworkers.
Kevin had one of the most calm and generous spirits. His presence made people feel safe, valued, and understood. Anyone who met him would remember his warmth, his steady encouragement, and his genuine compassion.
Family meant everything to Kevin. He always carried his love for his sisters in his heart. The bond they shared was special. Though words cannot ease the weight of his loss, Kevin’s legacy lives on in every life he touched, and every family member who carries his love forward.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Mary Ford and stepfather Robert Rivard, Sr., his father, Addison Baker Ford and his stepmother Darlene Ford. Nieces, Arianna Ford and Ella Miller, nephew, Skylor Miller, and two aunts, Susan Tayman and Connie Halkovich. Also his step-siblings, David Thomas, Stephen Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Suzanne van der Vossen, Chris Rivard, Kathryn McLaughlin and Robert Rivard Jr. and his close friends, Francis Burgess and Chuck and Anna Amendolare. Kevin was predeceased by his sisters, Rebecca (Becky) and Karen Ford.
Visitation services will be held at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, located at 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD, 20715, on February 17, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
His funeral service is scheduled for February 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm, also at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home.
Graveside service and interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD, 20722, at 2:15 pm on the same day.
