 I remember when we use to live in S.E. DC.  We had the largest pool in all of the area and all of us had summer jobs and we would come home from work and meet at Parkland's pool and really have a ball. He was a great swimmer.  RIP Mike, you will never be forgotten.

Heaven has received an angel. Michael was a bright light. We will miss his sweet smile and kindness to all.



Mike Ward was a true friend, growing up on Shipley Terrace, attending Garfield Elementary school and the both of us enlisting in the  US Navy.  Those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there’s a memory they live in our hearts to stay. Rest In Peace my life long friend.

I met Mike at Hart Jr High School. Mike was always a gentle person. We crossed paths again while out dancing at the VFW.  There I met his wife Linda, they were truly a lovely couple and deeply in love.  One day while watching The Housewives of Potomac. I saw Mike on an episode. The next time I saw him out dancing, I said I saw you on TV, now I need your autograph. He shyly smiled and asked me to dance. While dancing he asked " how did I do"? I said grreat. To the Family stay strong knowing he suffers no more. Hold on to Jehovah's promise at John 5:28,29.

Michael Ward, was truly my friend, we have shared some many memories, from Parkland Shipley Terrace.

I had the opportunity to visit Michael twice during Holidays and we shared many stores, attended CAMP BROWN during the summers, getting our Social Security Number together.
I will miss my friend, as I shared with Michael “I will see you again”.

Michael Ward made a major impact on me as my supervisor and a friend!!! When I was a single father raising 3 kids, Ward gave me all the overtime I needed, to help make ends meet. He had many dependents at Walter Reed, and always showed love by helping them all!!! My condolences and prayers to the family!!!
