Providence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a wonderful friend. Her giddy laugh would light up a room, and her naughty jokes would make anyone laugh. For over 20 years, she worked as a bookkeeper for a flooring and carpet company and later started working part-time at Marshalls, since she was so bored after retirement, where she also loved to shop. She found joy in shopping, gardening, attending Sunday morning catholic church services, visiting casinos, traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Burton Dabolish of St. Leonard, MD, Eric Dabolish of Parrish, FL, and Jason Dabolish of Chester, MD. Providence also leaves behind her grandchildren Rachel Rodriguez, Kayla Alvardo (Anthony), Justin Dabolish, Kristen Dabolish, and Alyssa Dabolish. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters Gloria Mendez, Susana Mendez, Ana D. Mendez, her brother Aracelio Mendez, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many others she considered family. Providence was preceded in death by her husband, Burton J Dabolish, her parents Aracelio Mendez and Maria Aviles and her siblings Juan Mendez, Luman Mendez, Fernando Mendez, and Filonema Mendez.
Services for Providence will be held at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, MD, located at 16000 Annapolis Rd, Bowie, MD 20715. A viewing will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 1-3 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3 PM.
Her memorial service and burial will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens located at 525 111th Ave. N Naples, FL 34108 on Saturday March 2, 2024 at 12pm. Following the service she will be laid to rest in the mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was dear to Providence's heart.
