Robert Parker Van Horn, age 94, died peacefully on April 13, 2012, four days shy of his 95th birthday surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 17, 1917 in Glenn Dale, Maryland to Judge R. Lee Van Horn and Elizabeth P. Van Horn. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary L. Van Horn and their children, Robert C., Geoffrey A., James M. and Julia M. Van Horn and two grandchildren, Rachel M. and Jessica P. Van Horn. He was a happy and gregarious man to the end and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visiting hours will be from 2:00 to 4;00 PM, with a short memorial service at 2:30 PM on Friday, April 20th at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland.
