Shirley May Helf, formerly of Bladensburg, MD died February 16, 2014 in Punta Gorda, FL. Preceded in death by husband Michael F. Helf survived by daughters, Donna Hayden and Karen (Rock) Blythe; son, Michael (Sheila) Helf; three grandchildren, Kristen, Amy and Charlotte Helf; brothers, Frank Stoddard, Don (Paula) Stoddard and Thomas (Betsy) Stoddard and sister, Patty (Buzz) Sandberg. Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice House, 1158 Veronica St., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
