Alice Ruth Marsh, age 96, of Gowanda, New York passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Alice was born July 8, 1925 in Buffalo, New York to Alice Boldman (Pearce/Easterling) and Clarence Pearce. She
had one sibling, Albert Pearce who preceded her in death.
Alice was married to Howard Adam Harris in 1944 and was blessed with five children: Howard Albert, Margaret Marion, James Earl(deceased), Robert Edward and Richard Allan.
Alice later married Chester W Marsh. Together they spent summers as the host and hostess of Willow Bay Campground where many fond memories were made with family and friends. Winters were spent in Zephyrhills, Florida where Alice was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and proudly held the position of Madam President. She also loved her table at the flea market where Alice and Chet sold many wonderful homemade items.
Alice was an amazing woman who always believed in getting things done then moving on in life and she was the perfect example of it. She always had a project to work on such as hanging wallpaper, making jewelry with cracked marbles, putting a puzzle together, picking out the next perfect piece of Fenton glassware to purchase or crocheting blankets for every family member as well as seniors in the local nursing homes and babies in the NICU.
As a strong willed feisty woman she insisted on being independent. She was adventurous, courageous, dignified and lived life to the fullest making her an amazing and much loved role model for all of us.
Alice is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were all very much loved by her.
