Mario A. Capannola

On Thursday, December 30, 2021, Mario Anthony Capannola of North Tonawanda, NY passed away at the age of 88. Mario was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Amedeo and Louise Capannola. He was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School where he was an excellent athlete lettering in three sports. He served honorably as a M.P. in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Mario was a millwright who worked for DuPont Chemical, then Harrison Radiator in Lockport from which he retired in 1997. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills, and fancied himself as quite the handyman around the house. A loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, Mario is survived by his wife Susan (Chabala) Capannola, his children Richard D. (Kristen) Capannola, Angela L. (Richard) Manning, Anthony (Emily) Chabala, eight grandchildren, one great-grandson. Mario was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Maselli) Capannola, and siblings Ricardo Capannola, Josephine (John) Signorelli, Domenick (Mary Ann Capannola), and Julie Capannola.
