Born on the family farm in Bechtelsville. She was a daughter of the late Daisy F. (Haas) and William F. Gilbert.
She was a graduate of Albright University in 1960 with a Bachelors in Arts degree.
Anne last worked for Boyertown Publishing as a proof reader for over 4 years. She also did the bookkeeping for the family dairy farm and assisted in the feeding and milking.
She was also a post member of the Oley Farm Women and a post member of the Roughwriters creative writing club.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Julie N. Luft and Marnie I. Francis both of Hamburg. Grandchildren, Bethany L., Robert L. and Felicia A. Francis. Siblings, John and Clark Gilbert and Sandy Hutchison. She is predeceased by her son, Joseph G. Luft who passed away in 1988.
Funeral Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA. 19512 on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
Friends and family may call Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
Interment will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Boyertown.
