Carl W. Leffel

Carl W. Leffel, 89, husband of the late Stella W. (Weller) Leffel (who passed away on May 7, 2011) formerly of Boyertown passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 in Sanatoga Center, Montgomery County, where he had been a patient for the past 3 months.

Born in Woodchoppertown, PA, he was a son of the late Anna (Hartline) and Ammon Leffel.

Carl was employed as a night watchman for Tung-Sol for 19 years and later Bally Ribbon Mills for 15 years retiring in 1985. He attended Colebrookdale Chapel in Boyertown for 50 years.

He served in WWII in the US Navy on the USS Cabot in the Pacific theater.

Surviving are 2 sons, Carl W. Jr. husband of Sarah Leffel of Boyertown; Titus R. husband of Wanda Leffel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter, Lois wife of Ron Lenington of Grapevine, TX; brother, Harold S Leffel of Woodchoppertown, PA; and sister, Florence Manwiller of Bern Twp. PA. Carl is also survived by his grandchildren Emily and Chelsea Lenington and Adam, Jordan and Erin Leffel.

The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Colebrookdale Chapel, 2108 Farmington Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512.

A Viewing is scheduled for Saturday morning between 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be at Hill Church Cemetery.
