Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Ethel B. (Ruger) and Harry Gilbert.
Dorothy was a member of the Eastern Star, Azure 87, Cranford, NJ; and an accomplished seamstress and artist who worked with acrylic and oils.
She is survived by a daughter, Janette L. Greenawald of Long Beach, California.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery, 317 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown. Sister Millicent J. Drake will officiate.
Arrangements are by the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown.
