Emma F. Baus Blessinger

Born on December 27, 1929 near Grims Mill, Boyertown she was the daughter of the late Norman G. and Mattie (Weidner) Baus.

Her husband Robert Blessinger died August 14, 1987. She and her husband were self-employed farmers till his death. Emma also managed several rental properties. She was a member of St. Joseph’s (Hill) Lutheran Church, Boyertown. She was also a social member of the Liberty Fire Company, New Berlinville, Keystone Fire Company, Bechtelsville and the Gabelsville Athletic Association, “PA Farmer’s Association and a member of the A.A.R.P. Emma was also a member of the Liberty Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, New Berlinville and also of Agway Inc...

She is survived by three daughters, Carol M., wife of Paul Miller, Christine P., wife of Harry L. Sheetz and Linda A., wife of Junior A. Eshbach all of Boyertown; brother, Russell Baus and wife Shirley of Gilbertsville; sister Erma Himmelwright of Boyertown; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Patricia, two sisters, Mabel and Katie, three brothers, Frank, Morris and John and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the St. Joseph’s (Hill) Lutheran Church, 244 Koch Road, Boyertown. The Reverend Jeffrey W. Odgren will officiate.

Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday between 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Pike Township, Berks County, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Joseph’s (Hill) Lutheran Church, 244 Koch Road, Boyertown, PA 19512.
