He was the son of the late Fritz and Ruth (Everly) Reiss.
Surviving with his wife, Jackie of 59 years (married May 11, 1957) is a daughter, Dawn Hankins of Douglassville; a son Fred M. Reiss, Jr., husband of Cheryl of Gilbertsville; a brother, Herman Reiss; six grandchildren, Matthew, Brandi, Tyler, Jacqueline, Courtney and Conner; three great-grandchildren, Reece, Jaxson and Liam. He was predeceased by a sister, Jacqueline Brodbeck.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday between 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
