Jack L. Powell Sr.

Jack L. Powell, Sr., 61, of Vale Drive, Boyertown, husband of Phyllis (Pettine) Powell, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 in his residence.Born in Fierco, WV he was the son of the late Charles W. and Dollie R. (Smith) Powell.He was a truck driver for West Motor Freight, Boyertown last working in 1996.Jack was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Bally. A member of the Keystone Fire Company, Boyertown, Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Boyertown and the Boyertown American Legion.Surviving with his wife Phyllis of 42 years (married September 30, 1967) are two sons, Jack L., Jr., husband of Tara Powell of Temple and Michael J., husband of Toni Powell of Birdsboro; three brothers, Charles and Gary Powell both of Lewisburg, WV and Dean Powell of Alderson, WV; three sisters, JoAnn Mauzey of Williamsburg, WV; Delores Powell of Lewisburg, WV and Janice Hamrick of TN; seven grandchildren, Robbie, Lori, Kierston, Owen, Julius, Nathan and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Arby.A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA. Monsignor Edward J. Coyle will officiate. A viewing will be Wednesday between 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. a the church.Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Cemetery, Bally.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA 19503.Arrangements are being handled by the Linwood W.
