Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late John J. and Margaret (Breen) Stevenson.
For 41 years he was a tool and dye maker for SPS Tech. in Jenkintown. He was in the Coast Guard during WWII.
Surviving with his wife, Dorothy are three sons, James J. Stevenson, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Pipersville, PA, Edward N. Stevenson of Carversville and Randall T. Stevenson and his wife Elaine of Warrington; a daughter, Jeanmarie B., wife of Randall Tanghe of Hilltown; a brother Donald F. Stevenson; a sister, Mary Snyder both of Collegeville; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Grandview Hospital – Hospice Department, 700 Lawn Avenue, P. O. Box 902, Sellersville, PA 18960.
