

Keith Warren Taylor was a brilliant and exceptionally caring individual who positively influenced the lives of others. He left a lasting and profound impression upon everyone he interacted with in life. Keith departed this world quite unexpectedly during the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022 at the age of 63.
He was the first-born son of parents Mae and Earl Taylor and the first-born grandson of Azzie and Walter Ashley. Keith was born on January 17th, 1959 at Memorial Hospital in Niagara Falls, NY, and attended LaSalle Senior High School. While at LaSalle he was both an excellent student as well as a standout student-athlete and varsity letterman. He became known for his ability & prowess on the basketball court; he played football and also ran track and field.
After graduating from high school, he attended and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester majoring in History and Political Science. While attending the University of Rochester he made many friends and soon joined the historically African American fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha. While a student at the University of Rochester he met his wife of 40+ years, Darlene Gadson.
After graduating from the University of Rochester he attended the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business where he also earned his Executive MBA. Professionally Keith went on to pursue a career in the Telecommunications industry, working as a Solution’s Architect for Verizon’s Global Enterprise segment where he provided a collaborative effort selling and designing both wireless and wireline solutions.

He was an exceptional cook and loved to spend time in the kitchen preparing gourmet dishes for the people he loved. Keith also enjoyed a variety of recreational activities and sports, among them were rooting for his favorite team the Buffalo Bills as well as golfing. In addition to being committed and enthusiastic about his golf game, he loved fishing, bicycling and spending countless hours playing chess. He was also a car enthusiast as well as an audiophile and lover of music who enjoyed watching movies and shows from the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres.
Keith Taylor is survived by his lovely wife, Darlene; his mother, Mae; and his brother, Thomas Shamyr. Brother-in-law Darrell Gadson, Alpha brothers: Steve McLeod Bryant, Chico Gibbons, Trevor Michael, and Darryl Turner. Sister-in-laws Yvonne Bonhon and Pamela Beall, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will honor the memory of his life and legacy. His endearing personality and lovable spirit were truly blessings bestowed upon everyone he interacted with in life.
