Born in Philadelphia, PA, Linda was the daughter of the late Helene (Crozier) and Salvatore Genova IV.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, John E. Burt, Jr., her children, Michelle L. wife of Todd B. Cavallaro of Lititz, and Thomas J. Burt of Pottstown. She also leaves behind siblings, Salvatore "Sam" Genova of Kirkwood, PA and Geraldine Bielawski of West Palm Beach, FL. Linda was preceded in death by her twin brother, Joseph J. Genova, in 2012.
She served as an Inspector for Uniform Tubes and previously worked in the Loan Department at Continental Bank in Norristown. Linda found joy in league bowling at Limerick Lanes for many years. She was a dedicated supporter of the Phillies and the Golden State Warriors, enthusiastically cheering for her favorite teams. Above all, her family brought her the greatest happiness, especially her beloved grandchildren, whose many sporting events she loved to attend.
Linda possessed a knack for discovering unique household gadgets, frequently sparking laughter and the occasional eye roll among her family. She was one to always remember birthdays and anniversaries to which she would send heartfelt cards through the mail.
In her leisure time, she found joy in listening to her oldies, mostly artists like Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops, and The Temptations, while also sharing moments with her husband and son at the casino. Here she indulged in her favorite pastime: playing three-card poker, and to this day, she still holds the unofficial record at Valley Forge Casino for the three-card poker progressive jackpot.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA 19512, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
