Oneta F. Hess Smith

Born in Earl Township she was the daughter of the late David and Alice (Weller) Hess.

She was a homemaker.

Oneta was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Boyertown. She enjoyed sewing; loved gardening and watching birds.

She is survived by a son, Gary L., husband of Dierdre (Pruyn) Smith of Douglassville; two sisters, Helen Dotterer of Gilbertsville; and Anna Lambert of Sanatoga; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be 1:15 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ Sanctuary, 35 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown. The Reverend Dennis Christie will officiate.

A viewing will be Monday between 12 – 1 p.m. in the church chapel

Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Pike Township, Berks County, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 35 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512.
