
Raymond C. Yerger, 84, of Bally, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026. He was the loving husband of Ellen (Miller) Yerger. Born July 21, 1941, he was the son of the late Raymond M. and Ruth (Fronheiser) Yerger.
A man of discipline and quiet pride, Raymond served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, carrying the values of service and integrity with him throughout his life. After his military service, he went on to enjoy a career in refrigeration sales until his retirement.
He had a passion for arrowheads, each one a small treasure that connected him to history and brought him great joy. His home reflected his character; his yard was always meticulously manicured and his garage was kept in perfect order, a testament to his attention to detail and pride in a job well done.
Above all else, Raymond cherished his family. His greatest happiness came from time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, laughter or simply being present, those moments meant the world to him, and will be remembered forever by those who loved him.
In addition to his wife Ellen, Raymond is survived by his children; Michael Yerger, husband of Cecilia, Karen Yerger wife of Gene Mutter, Julia Lumis wife of Charles and Angela Chaplin wife of Jeffrey. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Adam Yerger, Natalie Reifsneider, Dr. Alex Slaby, Zachary Slaby, Mary Beth Tierney, Sarah Lumis and Olivia Chaplin. Additionally, Raymond is survived by his great-grandchildren; Eric Reifsneider III, Dylan Yerger, Hailey Yerger, Ben Slaby, Harry Slaby, Oliver Slaby, Evelyn Slaby and Noah Slaby. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Yerger. Raymond was predeceased by his sister, Mary Bauer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, Pa, 19503, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately.
