Oh Nancy, I am so sorry to read of your son's passing.  I know he took good care of you and hope now that someone else steps up to do the same.  Please accept my sincere condolences.  No one should have to bury their children.  My thoughts are with you and the family,  Andi Swavely (Aunt Ellen's niece).

i just seen that my classmate of 1981 has passed....Robert will be missed and i will remember the memories of Robert...RIP my friend ..

My deepest condolences to Bob & his family. He was so committed to his family & those he held close. His community meant the world to him. He was a good person in every way.

Mr haas was my teacher in 6th grade he really was a great teacher and I love his social studies class at upper Perkiomen middle school he helped me on tests and made sure I always understood what I was doing he was a really good man and my condolences go out to his friends and family at this upsetting death of a son,father, teacher, friends and brother

RIP old friend. So glad we reconnected after so many years! Fond memories of cub scouts and up at our hunting camp.

We are so very sorry to learn about Bob’s passing. Our sincere sympathies to his family and friends. Bob was a wonderful educator and such a kind man. I had the opportunity to support students in his Social Studies classroom for two years and he made learning fun for his students! He always had a joke or a story to tell! My sons have fond memories of Mr. Haas and his class. God Bless Bob and many prayers to his family.

You’ve been on my mind for two days now. I was JUST about to text you to see how you’re coming along  and then I saw THIS.  

We bonded over comedy. He told me about his comedy classes and then I dropped some improv on him and he Precious Pup laughed and declared that I didn’t need classes.  Glad to have shared many laughs with him. 

He was a good man, a good son, a good educator. We’ve lost one of the good ones.

Seventh grade Economics was hands down my favorite class. And completing my community service credits in high school? That was always the highlight of my week. I loved working security for the band, and I’ll never forget all the stories you shared about your comedy classes and performances. Our talks about our firehouses, your training stories, they all stick with me. You’d call just to check in, updating me on how you were doing and keeping me in the loop about your diagnosis. I always admired your optimism, no matter what you were going through.
You called when I got married, when Kat and I bought our first house, and we made plans for you to come to Texas and finally meet her and see our place. I joked about how you weren’t ready for the spicy food, but I know you would’ve tackled it with that same positive spirit.
These are the memories I’ll hold onto and mourn, and countless more, but I’ll always remember that I could count on you for advice or just a chat whenever I needed it. Love ya and I’ll miss ya Haas.

You had the kindest heart and told the best stories! Always there to support TJ and that meant the world to us. I'm so very sad your gone. Forever in our hearts.

I am so sorry to hear , I enjoyed his stories he told his students.  He explained economics by showing students the 1970’s film The Doughnuts. They loved it! Such a great teacher! He will be missed 🙏❤️
