

ROBERT A. STEININGER, 90, OF KENNETT SQUARE Robert A. Steininger, 90, of Kennett Square, PA and formerly of Douglassville, PA, passed from this life on March 27, 2013 at the Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA, and entered heaven to be with his Lord and Savior. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Steininger with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Danville, PA, he was a son of the late Alverda Versella (Grubb) and Charles Steininger. He was employed as a CRNA for Jefferson Hospital, Haverford Hospital and Tri County Hospital, working in the field for 43 years until his retirement in 1987. Robert served in the US Army in the CBI Theatre during World War II, attaining the rank of T3 Surgical Technician SGT 1st Class. He is survived by three sons, Bill Steininger and wife, Jackie of Evergreen Park, IL; Paul Steininger and wife, Diane of Aston, PA, and Robert Steininger and wife, Rosie of Phoenixville, PA; a daughter, Joyce Toscano and her partner, Sharon of Kennett Square, PA; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. Chapel services will be held at the Chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA, on Tuesday April 2, 2013 where friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Entombment will be at the Limerick Garden of Memories.
