Wilma Jean Saunders

Born in Wellsboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Lila (Lewis) and Raymond Evans.

Wilma was a Canton High School graduate. She was a member of the Air Force Women’s Club. She was also a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Meals on Wheels both in Lancaster.

She is survived by a daughter, Evalyn, wife of Donald Meyer of Fleetwood; a son Ralph E., husband of Pat Saunders of San Ramon, CA; a daughter-in-law, Vernetta, widow of Frank Saunders of Oregon; two brothers, Merlin Evans of Utah and Alden Evans of Trout Run, PA; six grandchildren, Shannon, David, Drew, Clay, Kevin and Raina and a great-granddaughter, Araina. Wilma was predeceased by a son Frank; three brothers, Raymond, Glen and Paul and a sister, Ella.

Funeral Services will 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown, Chaplin Don Eisenhauer will officiate.

Relatives and Friends may call between 9 – 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
