

Born on September 15, 1932, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Benedict was the son of Joseph and Lucy (née Zappa) Gross. He grew up in Farrell, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Farrell High School. He later pursued higher education at Hofstra University in New York.
Benedict served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a business owner in the truck equipment industry. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on those who worked with him and knew him professionally.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Antoinette Gross; his brother, Peter Gross; and his parents. Benedict is survived by his children, Joseph Gross and Rose Marie Knox; grandchildren, Brenda Gross and Steven Gross; great-grandson, Eric DiCarlo; and sister, Betty Lou Davis.
Benedict had a deep love for golf and found joy on the green throughout his life. Those who knew him remember him as kind-hearted, generous with his time and spirit, and deeply loving to those around him.

A visitation for Benedict will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 starting at 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, FL 34211.
