Avis de décès de Harold Edward Qualkinbush
AUX SOINS DE

Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center

Harold Edward Qualkinbush, 74, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida. Born on November 30, 1951, in Logansport, Indiana, Harold lived a life full of adventure, fierce loyalty, and love — and anyone lucky enough to be on his team knew they couldn't lose.

Harold’s story began in the Midwest, but he loved to travel and in later years loved his time in Florida. His professional journey started in government housing and urban development, where a spark was lit that would lead him into entrepreneurship. He went on to found Qualkinbush Real Estate and Appraisal Services, building something he was genuinely proud of. He brought to his work the same qualities he brought to everything: discipline, heart, and a standard he never lowered.

A proud veteran, Harold served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany before continuing his service with the Army Reserve. The military shaped the man he would become — resourceful, dependable, and always ready to show up for others.

Harold enjoyed being on the tennis court as often as possible. Off the court, he could be found on walks with his beloved dog, Bo, riding his bike, or spending time with family and friends.

But tennis was his game. Those who played with him will tell you there was an unspoken rule: if Harold’s your partner, you can't lose. It wasn't just his play — it was his presence. He made everyone around him better, calmer, and more confident. That was true on the court, and it was just as true at the dinner table and in any room he walked into. Harold had a rare gift for lighting up a space, and he used it generously — cracking up his grandkids with pranks and funny noises one moment and offering steady, hard-won wisdom the next. Harold was a trusted advisor and friend to many.

Family meant everything to him. Harold is survived by his devoted wife, Jan Qualkinbush; his daughter, Katie Q Snider; son-in-law, Scott Snider; and granddaughters Sylvia (8) and Tenney Snider (2). He also leaves behind his brothers, Steve and Mark Qualkinbush and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Robert Qualkinbush.

Celebration of life will be held on May 16, 2026 at the Qualkinbush’s Indiana residence. Please reach out directly for additional details.

Harold’s legacy is one of love, tenacity, and adventure. He marched to the beat of his own drum — always kindly, always fully himself. Those who knew him carry the best of him forward, and in that way, he's still always on our team.
