

Leslie “Les” Wilton Stotler, 75, passed away on November 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on February 4, 1950, at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., to Daniel and Janet Stotler.
In 1979, Les joined the Washington Metropolitan Transit Police Department, beginning a distinguished 26-year career of unwavering service. During his time as a sworn police officer, he served with honor, integrity, and a deep sense of duty to the community he protected.
Above all else, Les cherished his family. He adored his daughters, Terri and Lisa, and on June 2nd, 1984, he married the love of his life, Rosita. Together they raised their children, Eliana, Steven, and Nicole, creating a home filled with laughter, faith, and unconditional love.
A man of God, Les’ quiet strength and steadfast faith guided him throughout his life. He was a pillar of his community, a devoted husband, and an active and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who poured his heart into those he cared for. His life was marked by service, compassion, and an unshakeable devotion to the people he loved.
Les will be remembered for his fierce love, generosity, dry humor, and the legacy of integrity and kindness he leaves behind. His impact lives on in his family, his friends, and the countless lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Rosita; his children Terri and Billy Crutchfield, Lisa Stotler, Eliana and Daniel Boudreau, Steven and Kacey Stotler, Nicole and Corey Johnson; and his beloved grandchildren (Boudreau): Victoria, Alexandra, Matthew, and Andrew; (Stotler): Steven, Logan, and Carter; (Johnson): Sebastian, Gabriel, Brianna, Joshua, and Abigail (Crutchfield): Catalina and William (Warden): Andrew, Nicholis, Ryan, Chance, and eleven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Janet Stotler; his stepmother, Wilma Stotler; his brother, Danny Stotler; his beloved mother-in-law, Maria Carmen Puentes; his brother-in-law, Miguel Puentes; and his sister-in-law, Hilda Sanchez.
Services will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 12001 69th Street East, Parrish, FL with Celebration of Life to follow from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Ln, Bradenton, Florida 34211.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Les’ honor, celebrating his legacy of selfless sacrifice.
