

Almond Scott Campbell, loved & honored husband to Daisy, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, age 94, died on 6 March 2013, in Brampton, Ontario Canada. He was born 9 July 1918, in Middle Brook, Newfoundland, Canada.
As a World War II Veteran of the Royal Air Force, he was well traveled, and spent many years in India, Europe, and South Africa. His favorite place, however, was his home in Deer Lake, Newfoundland. He loved hunting and fishing, and he was especially dexterous. He spent most of his life working in mechanical occupations. His early years were spent working with his father and brothers in the logging industry, and later in the construction of the TransCanada Highway across Newfoundland.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Jane Wells, whom he married in 18 March 1948. He was a constant friend and companion to his youngest son, Richard, and will be forever missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his eight children, 15 grandchildren, and more than 15 great-grandchildren and their families. His children are: Ada Chow, Donna Palmer, Scott Campbell, Katie Cathcart, Beulah Campbell, Caroline Brushett, Pearl Campbell and Richard Campbell. His grandchildren are: Tammy Campbell, Billy Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Jimmy Chow, Jacquelyn Chow, Katherine Palmer, Thomas Palmer, Nicole Farewell, Michael Farewell, Rebecca Brushett, Jeffrey Cathcart, Bradley Cathcart, Katelyn Cathcart, Mark DiPalma and Sonia DiPalma.
He is also survived by his brother, Roy Campbell, and sisters, Hazel Manuel, Renee Caines, Daisy Laramore and Shirley Luther.
Scott goes on to join a large number of deceased family members, including his son, Billy, his loving parents and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, 9 March 2013, 12 pm, at The Salvation Army Brampton Citadel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the veteran’s section of the Meadowvale Cemetery in Brampton.
