Austin Robert Jr. Jackson (Audie)

Of Brampton and formerly Stratford, passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital, Brampton, Ontario on Friday April 27, 2018.Beloved husband of the late Jean Jackson (nee Baird) for 50 wonderful years. Loving Father of Jariane Jackson, and Rick Bailey of Brampton, Ontario. Dear Brother of Harvey Marshall of Mississauga, Laverne Marshall (Barbara) of Stratford, Liz Smith (Jim) of Sebringville, Darlene Matthison (Murray) of Stratford, Ken Marshall of Lucan, Raymond Marshall (Judy) of Goderich, Paul Marshall (Diane) of Stratford. Dear Brother-in-law of Verna Marshall, Sharon Marshall and Tina Marshall. Audie is also survived by his Aunt Marjorie Hyde of Stratford and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by his parents: Ernest and Jean (nee Hyde) Marshall, and his birth Father, Austin Robert Jackson. Predeceased by his Siblings: Walter Marshall, Bob Marshall, Gordon Marshall, Clifford Marshall, Ernie Marshall, Donald Marshall, Timothy Marshall, and sisters-in-law Hilda Marshall, Joyce Marshall, Gwen Marshall, and Irene Marshall.

Audie had a dedicated career with the CNR for 35 years and retired at age 53. He joined the Masonic Dominion Lodge No. 598 of Windsor in 1964 and proudly served Ionic Lodge No. 229 of Brampton, Peel Chapter of R.A.M. No. 195 and Holy Trinity Conclave No. 34 of Etobicoke. Audie was appointed as a Stewart for the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario. He was also recognized by Trinity Lodge No. 521 for 50 years of loyalty and principles of Freemasonry in May of 2014. Audie was an avid golfer which he thoroughly enjoyed and was also a member of Brampton Probus Club. Audie’s large family was an important aspect of his life. He enjoyed returning to his “hometown” of Stratford to visit. Audie will be missed by many.
