Hi Clare and Aidan, I am so sad for your loss which I heard about today. I lived with Bryan at the 'Aloma Motel' for a year, as you can appreciate, I loved every minute of it with 'big mon' as he affectionately called me, despite my short height. Bryan had the ability to deliver the funniest punchline with jokes on either entering or leaving a room, and had everyone hysterical with laughter. He was kindhearted, loving and loyal, and loved Clare and Aidan to bits. He was very kind to me and for that and everything else he gave to this world, in his humour, hugs, jokes or that wry smile, I will miss him. Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting you, my heart is breaking for you and your family right now, especially yourself and your son. I have only known Bryan for a short time, just a year, but he has been such a welcoming and lovely man at all times to me.  I am a scottish girl and I always felt a little closer to home and my family hearing his English accent and laughter.  He was much closer to my hubby, Jeff Burgess, who you would only most likely have heard Bryan refer to as "Jeff the biker".  Bryan initiated Jeff in as a corner boy and was pleased as punch when Jeff would cheer and support Liverpool in his honour.  lol.  As soon as I heard the news, my immediate thought was that you MUST have also been best friends with your husband and are suffering a double loss, but also what Aidan is suffering.  I have 16 and 14 yr old teen sons and cannot imagine a more difficult age for a young man to suffer such a loss.  I would imagine he, as well, was best friends with his dad.  I WOULD like you to know that  all the patrons I have seen at Bryan's pub, especially his corner boys, are simply heartbroken and crushed. You and Bryan have many strong and beloved friends who would do absolutely anything in this world to help you and Aidan in any way if it could ease some of your burden or help in some way.  All you need is ask and I know myself would do anything.  If you need your house cleaned being so busy, laundry, meals prepared or snacks for guests, your lawn mowed, errands run, i would be glad to take it on so please call if you need ANYTHING.  If Aidan felt up to a distraction, perhaps an afternoon of road hockey with my boys or a pick-up game of soccer, wonderland or a quick movie one afternoon while they're all off school.  Please call if you need anything at all - even someone to talk to (especially a mother of teen boys) or to simply go for a walk, coffee or anywhere just to escape for a while.
