Born in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England on November 23rd, 1924, David brought his family to Canada in 1964 and has lived in Brampton since then. Whilst in England, he worked for the Atomic Energy Authority and after emigrating was employed as a systems designer at Douglas Aircraft in Malton. David retired in 1989. After retirement, he became an active member of Bramalea Radio Control Flyers and enjoyed many happy hours building, flying and even repairing model airplanes with his friends at the flying field. David also enjoyed making wine, which he was always glad to share with family and friends. In 1997, David and Veronica moved into the Rosedale Village community, where they enjoyed life surrounded by caring neighbours and friends. Up until the last few months of his life, David could be seen walking around the village every day, rain or shine, and stopping to chat with neighbours along the way.
According to David’s wishes cremation will be taking place, and a gathering for family and friends will be held at the Rosedale Village clubhouse at a later date.
