

After a courageous battle with cancer, Elem Stuckey died on Tuesday July 5th, 2016 in Toronto, ON., with family by his side at the age of 70. He leaves behind his grandson Jordan Nisbett (Shayna), granddaughters Jasleen Nisbett and Savannah Nisbett, and daughter Carol Lynn Nisbett. Elem was born on November 16, 1945 in Cobbs Arm, to father Abel Stuckey and mother Hattie Stuckey, who predeceased him. He grew up in a large, loving family with three sisters and seven brothers; Harold (Stella), Frances (Everett), Maxwell (Geraldine), Herbert (Diane), Donald (Maxine), Gerald (Kathleen), Margaret (George), Raymond (Connie), Melvin (Noreen), Verlie (Lorne). Uncle of 8 nieces & 12 nephews, as well as many great nieces & nephews. Elem worked for Reimer Express Lines LTD for more than 37 years as a dock worker in the shipping and receiving department , up until his retirement in 2013. Elem's hobbies included cracking open a bottle of Canadian, as he lit his cigarette to watch the Habs games. He also enjoyed walking Tia outdoors. For a man who did not like dogs he and Tia were inseparable. His grandson Jordan meant the world to him, if it were not for Elem, Jordan would not be the man he is today nor the amazing father he will be in the future. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Funeral Home on Sunday July 10th, 2016 at 11:30am. Cremation to follow.
