Born and raised in Toronto, Glenda moved to Bramalea where she met and then married Terry in September 1967. They bought their first and only home in Brampton in 1971. She was a talented artist best known for her passion for quilting. Glenda retired from the Peel Region School Board and spent many years travelling coast to coast across North America in their fifth wheel. Glenda had a love for life and above all else she cherished making memories with her family and loved ones. She firmly believed “If you get the choice to sit it out or dance… I hope you dance.” Glenda was loved by so many for her kindness, her generosity, her sense of humour and her love for life. She was happiest bringing her family and friends together in her home. She was always there, coffee was always on, and there is always a seat at the kitchen table for you.
Loving wife of Terry Johnston for 50 years. Adored by daughter Susan (Tony) and son David (Lisa). Cherished Grandy to Samantha, Ryan and Eric plus extended grandy-children and great grandy-children. Fond memories of Glenda will be held in the hearts of Greg, Sandy, Bonnie, Roy, nieces and nephews.
As per Glenda’s wishes, there will be no funeral however a celebration of her life will be held Thursday, August 3rd at Terry’s home. Drop in between 2:00-5:00. Glenda’s family acknowledges with deep appreciation your kind expression of sympathy.
