

Passed peacefully away at the Brampton Civic Hospital, Brampton, Ontario on Saturday November 12, 2016 in his 79th year. Hollis was born on July 29th, 1937 in Lewisporte, NL and resided in Ontario for the past 50 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Jean (nee Winsor) of 49 years, his daughter Donna and her children Randal and Teela of Brampton, Ontario, his daughter Nancy (Ivan) and their children Jacob, Mitchell, Lukas, Kennedy and Houston of Elora, Ont. Also survived by his brother Fred (Jean) of Newmarket, Ontario his sisters Lila (Fort MacMurray, AB) and Sybil, Deer Lake NL. Sisters in law, Stella Noseworthy, Alicia Rowe, Linda Moulton (Bill), Edith Winsor and Joyce Winsor, brothers in law William Winsor (Alma), Lloyd Winsor and special friends Louise and Bob Gilliard and family. Hollis is predeceased by his parents Lewis and Elsie Janes, his sister Marie Sibley, father and mother in law Leslie and Dorothy Winsor, brothers in law Roy Sibley, Clouston Hancock, Beaton Winsor, Leslie Winsor (Ivy), Roland Winsor, Edwin Noseworthy and Eric Rowe. Also leaving to mourn many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
As per Hollis’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 19th at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road Brampton, Ontario. Visitation will be at 1:30pm and the memorial service commencing at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hollis’s memory would be gratefully accepted by the family to the Alzheimer’s Association of Ontario, The Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto Ontario or a charity of one’s choice.
